The Gen X Gamer is a personal site about Nintendo and retro gaming. This page explains what happens to personal information on thegenxgamer.com.

What we collect

When you sign up for the newsletter. Your first name, if you give one, and your email address. These are held by Acumbamail, our newsletter provider. You will get an email asking you to confirm before anything is sent, every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and nothing reaches Acumbamail unless you submit the form.
When you contact us. If you message us on Twitter or by email, we keep what you send so that we can answer.
When you visit this site. Nothing. There is no analytics on this site, no advertising, and no cookies are set by it.

Like every web server, ours records the address of each request, the browser making it and the time. Those logs keep the site working and secure.

As a gamer that grew up with the NES, I figured I would kick things off with the original Super Mario Bros.

Footage for this was captured using an original NES cart and controller, played on a Retron 5 system.
